Taking your work internationally
International | Event: 03.10.2019—03.10.2019
Thursday 3 October, 2 – 5pm; Tramway
How do you know if your artistic project is ready to go internationally? What is international market place for your work? And what are skills and tools needed to make this happen?
Led by experienced performing arts manager, Vincens Mayans, this workshop will be a practical exploration into international distribution for a small group of Work Room artists, artist managers, distributors and producers keen to build their international networks and collaborations. This will be particularly relevant to people applying to present work as part of showcases such as Tanzmesse and Made in Scotland, as well those keen to develop their knowledge of the international dance & contemporary theater scene.
Vincens began his artistic career as an actor and performer with Rodrigo García, and worked for more than 15 years as a performer, dancer and actor for reputable companies including as artistic director and choreographer of Physical theatre performances for Cía. Lalupe . Since 2014, he has been part of Agente129 Art Management, dedicated to the international distribution of performing arts projects. In April 2019, he created a new project called Palosanto Projects, with Pia Mazuela focused on the international distribution for different companies from Portugal, Israel, Italy, Catalonia and Prague, and supporting new choreographers. Vincens is dedicated to encouraging meetings between professionals to improve the professional reality and create common and better future sets.
