Artist Fee: £150 per day per person plus travel expenses
The Work Room is delighted to be partnering with Curious Seed and Playwright Studio Scotland once again to host INVITE. This is an exploratory workshop in which Curious Seed’s Artistic Director, Christine Devaney and musician and writer Luke Sutherland share their creative process as a way of considering what this can bring to the early stages of creating new work. This workshop invites four playwrights and four dance artists to explore, collaborate and experiment with working between text, music, and movement. There will also be space for participants to reflect on their relationship to music in their own practice.
Christine and Luke will be joined by musician Rose Dagul.
This workshop is for playwrights and dance artists who have had experience of professional practise i.e. mid-career or experienced artists.
However, we acknowledge that artists from EDI priority groups have often not had access to professional opportunities at the same rate as their peers.
Playwrights’ Studio, Curious Seed and The Work Room are committed to working with an expansive range of artists. We will select participants to ensure a breadth of lived and professional experiences are represented across the group.
