CROWD 2023 – International Dance Exchange | Artist Call Out

International
Deadline: 20.03.2023
Published: 23.01.2023

CROWD – international dance exchange is a collaborative network of dance organisations supporting dance makers who engage with communities as part of their practice. The Work Room is a parner in the network and part of the 2023 residency exchange .

As part of the CROWD international dance exchange, we’re looking for dance artists to join the 2023 residency programme. This year 10 selected dance artists (one from each host country, including Scotland) will collaborate with the support of the network partner organisations. Working in pairs, they will come together twice for a two week residency - one in their home country and one international -  to build their professional networks, exchange experience and share practice. Alongside the residencies the entire network will engage digitally in discursive sessions exploring community engagement in dance.

The project is welcoming applications for its 2023 residency programme, open to artists from across Denmark, England, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, the Netherlands, the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) in Germany, Norway and Scotland. Taking place across these countries, the CROWD 2023 international dance exchange residency programme is an opportunity for dance artists to explore and develop their practice in community-engaged dance by working with and learning from each other and local participants.
