Support to attend The Gathering, Birnam & Dunkeld

hosted by The Touring Network

The Gathering is the annual event hosted by The Touring Network for everyone involved or interested in rural touring. Connecting promoters from across the Highlands and Islands with performers, producers, funders and other creative professionals, it’s a welcoming space to network, build skills and showcase new work.

This year’s event will run across two venues, Birnam Arts & The Taybank, and will have a jam-packed programme of brilliant showcase performances, socialising, sharings and delicious food and drink. 

The event will take place:

Wednesday 4 October – Thursday 5 October 2023

Birnam & Dunkeld

The Work Room would like to support two or three members who can demonstrate an interest in rural touring to attend the event. The support will cover registration (which includes performance tickets & meals) 1 night accommodation & travel.

If you are interested in applying to attend The Gathering this year please email applications@theworkroom.org.uk with a few lines about how you feel attending might benefit your practice at this time.

Closing date for registering interest is Monday 11 September.

We are keen to support members who can demonstrate an interest in rural touring in Scotland. If there is more interest than we have capacity to support we will award support by random section.

We aim to notify applicants by Friday 15 September.
