Chisenhale Dance Space- Future Fridays Residency

A residency and performance opportunity as part of Future Fridays Double Bill at Chisenhale Dance Space
Arts Practice | Deadline: 27.01.2020

Building on the affinity between Chisenhale Dance Space (CDS) and The Work Room (TWR), we are working together again in 2020, to support a Work Room artist with a Future Fridays residency and performance.

CDS was both an inspiration and considered as a model in the establishment of The Work Room in 2008. Both organisations are membership based, with an artist-led ethos and are committed to supporting experimentation in dance. We now developing our work together to amplify our programmes of residencies, artist support and artist-led projects and use exchange models to learn from and utilise the benefits of the other organisation and increase our offer to our members.

This residency opportunity offers one TWR member the chance to undertake a short residency at CDS ahead of presenting work as part of the CDS curated Future Fridays programme in a double bill with a CDS Artist Member. Future Fridays are Chisenhale Dance Space's regular programme of new work led by Members. It is presented as a context where Members can take risks and share new ideas in front of a casual, supportive audience. This edition of Future Fridays will pair together a Member from The Work Room with a Member from Chisenhale Dance Space in a double bill, programmed by CDS.

Regretfully, Chisenhale Dance Space is on the second floor of a building, accessed by a staircase and therefore is not currently a level access venue. The staircase to the lounge and two studios has 40 steps and an uninterrupted banister on the right-hand side. Full access statement here
