The Work Room was one of ten dance organisations involved in CROWD and, in partnership with Tanz Faktor, Cologne, hosted an exchange residency with Alex McCabe from Glasgow and Stefanie Schwimmbeck from Cologne.

CROWD – international dance exchange was a collaborative network of dance organisations supporting dance makers who engage with communities as part of their practice. Following an open call earlier this year, ten dance artists were selected to join this summer’s #CROWDdance residency programme.
Taking place across Finland, Denmark, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway and the UK between July– September, the CROWD 2022 international dance exchange residency programme was an opportunity for dance artists to explore and develop their practice in community-engaged dance by working with and learning from each other and local participants.
CROWD was funded by the Goethe-Institut, Arts Council England, NRW KULTURsekretariat, Nordisk Kulturfond and Creative Scotland.
