Zoe A M Bullock

Zoe is a founding member of emerging company That’s What She Said Theatre, alongside director Alice Langley and writer Gabriella Sloss. Their inaugural production is an in-process sharing of a new play, ‘GOOD SEX AFTER BAD SEX’. This will be performed at Edinburgh Assembly Roxy in March 2019 and is comprised of verbatim material and movement. As creative practitioners, the company have a history of working together on devised movement pieces. Their first was ‘An Experiment Without a Voice’ (Old Hairdresser’s, June 2016). Using physical improvisation and devising, they created an ensemble of actors who generated a piece of theatre based on movement. Both Zoe and Alice have training in acro-balance, trapeze and aerial silks, and bring acro into the company’s work whenever possible. They are just about to embark on some research and development using acrobatics and parkour alongside theatrical storytelling for the first time. Most important to Zoe, her company and their process is truthfulness, alongside telling vital stories in bold and imaginative ways.
