Sasha Harrington

I am a movement director and choreographer. My practise is based in large ensemble movement and this comes from a history of working in theatre, specifically with groups of young people and communities. I trained in theatre making on the European Theatre Arts BA at Rose Bruford. This gave me tools and skills in movement based theatre practitioners such as Grotowski, Laban and Kantor. I have more recently trained as a movement director and teacher at Central School of speech and drama. I am currently teach movement at Edinburgh Napier University and work freelance as a mover in many forms. I have been the Associate movement director/ Choreographer on RAW materials 'The Stamping Ground' and more recently a performer in
Aya Kobayashi and Monika Smekot's project 'Wheel See'. My passion is in ensemble choreography and working with a mix of trained and untrained performers a like. I believe that bring groups together in movement is one of the best places for us to learn, relate an integrate with one and other,
