Dance artist based in Scotland with experience of facilitating, creating and performing dance.
As a choreographer, I find inspiration in nature and landscapes and am interested in creating dynamic and intelligent work with a visceral resonance. My practice is rooted in improvisation and I work collaboratively with dancers to explore movement.
In 2016, I was one of five choreographers selected to be mentored by Kerry Nicholls as part of Scottish Ballet’s Anserinae project. The work created as part of this project, ’Meta’ was developed during a residency and performed as part of DanceLive in 2016 and 2017. I have created several works for youth dance companies, most recently working with Macrobert Youth Dance Company.
I have a keen interest in community dance practice and have worked extensively in participatory dance across Scotland. Of particular interest is working with young people, working with rural communities and cross art form collaboration. I am currently working on performance and creative projects and am in post as dance artist at Macrobert Arts Centre, where I work with young people to create, engage and connect with communities.
