Dance artist based in Scotland with experience of facilitating, creating and performing dance.
As a choreographer, I find inspiration in nature and landscapes and am interested in creating dynamic and intelligent work with a visceral resonance. My practice is rooted in improvisation and I work collaboratively with dancers to explore movement.
In 2016, I was one of five choreographers selected to be mentored by Kerry Nicholls as part of Scottish Ballet’s Anserinae project. The work created as part of this project, ’Meta’ was developed during a residency at Citymoves Dance Agency and performed as part of DanceLive in 2016 and 2017. I have created several works for youth dance companies, most recently working with Macrobert Youth Dance Company.
I am interested in community dance practice and have worked extensively in participatory dance across Scotland. Of particular interest is working with young people and working with rural communities.
