Rachael Macintyre

I am a director, performer, creative producer, and teacher based in Forres, Moray in the north east of Scotland.

My work is a blend of dance, physical theatre, puppetry, aerial, and circus, with a focus on the visual storytelling of human experience. I am interested in communities and connection, and in particular working with children and young people. I strive to foster creativity that is accessible, exciting, and imaginative.

I create my own theatre performances and events, sometimes directing and sometimes performing. I am the co-founder and I co-run charity, Moray Flying Circus, which teaches regular classes, works at events and performances, and whose charitable work focuses on outreach and engagement through circus. I also work for other individuals and organisations as director, puppetry advisor, outside eye, and performer.

I am constantly looking to develop my practice, my connections with others who work with dance and movement, and grow as a creator, director and performer.
