Grace Turner

As an aerial dance artist I have had varied experience in performing both on the ground and in the air. I have had the privileged to work on some incredible shows, doing the weird and wonderful, such as dangling from a giant robot hand as a member of the stunt team with Wired Aerial Theatre in an Austrian Opera, Rigoletto, as well as getting to perform on a giant swing set with All or Nothing Aerial Dance Theatre, touring the UK for family audiences. As well as performing I also create work with my company TurnAround Dance Theatre; our most significant show was 'The Thief, the Fox & the Phoenix' an outdoor childrens theatre show fusing dance, aerial silks and singing.
Outside of my dance work, I'm currently training as a rigger (funded by Dancers Career Development ) completing my IRATA Level 1 in Feb 2024, this transition was inspired by my work doing counter weight for Paper Doll Militia's show 'Arthropoda' in 2023. I also run a craft company A Moment Entwine with which I make macrame and macraweave artwork, I am a resident artist at Made in Stirling.
I relocated to Clackmannanshire during the pandemic and have been overwhelmed by the welcome from the Scottish dance and aerial communities. I'm very excited to see what the future holds and am eager to collaborate with other local dance artists, aerialists and creatives.
