TWR Friday Socials are now being taken over by members - TWR members Paula Davidson will be in conversation with Ruth Mills.
Ruth's professional practice encompasses performing, choreographing, movement direction and teaching. She is a lecturer with Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and keen researcher of dance and performing arts pedagogy. Recently she has been researching somatic and holistic teaching in dance education. In this conversation, Ruth will share some of the questions she has been delving into around progressive methods of teaching which can be adopted across dance disciplines and pathways. She will also share reflections on developing opportunities to expand as a teacher, reflecting on one's own practice and actively addressing some of the challenges of found in dance education in the pursuit of best teaching practice for the future.
