Disrupting Leadership: anti-ableist approaches to artistry and access in dance
We are really delighted to announce that with support from the Four Nations International Fund, we are embarking on a research partnership with Independent Dance and Hochschulübergreifendes Zentrum Tanz in Berlin (HZT). Disrupting Leadership: anti-ableist approaches to artistry and access in dance is an embodied research project aiming to centre inclusivity, ecological thinking and sustainability, that will run over 14 months. The partnership is in the context of Claire Cunningham's appointment at HZT as the Einstein Professor of 'Choreography, Dance and Disability Arts'. It will enable us to share and reflect along with disabled dance artists from The Work Room and ID's communities as companions in the research, and to host roundtable remote-hybrid events to experiment in coming together in our local contexts & connecting digitally with our national and international collaborators.
