Dance artist Anne Kjær will be in the studio over the next two weeks developing a new solo piece. “YES IS A FUTURE is a solo performance that explores the journey of reclaiming my sexuality and erotic self after sexual trauma. It addresses universal feelings of dissociation, shame, grief, and rage that are common experiences for survivors of sexual trauma. The work challenges cultural expectations and stereotypes of female sexuality and centres pleasure and the erotic as key to resilience and autonomy.
