romany dear choreographies of together-mess

Romany will explore the continuation of her current research in relation to the question: what can we do together that we cannot do alone?* Collaborating with a series of "boundary objects" (made up of vessels, carriers and connectors) to develop trios that subvert the logics of their relational dynamics and propose other ways of being together that attend to desire, agency and a love for leaning.

Romany will work with configurations of threes, both as a metaphor and methodology to develop choreographic responses that enquire into intimacy, reciprocity and the possibilities for coexistence. This research is informed by companionship planting, specifically, the three sisters (or la milpa).

Throughout different moments during the week, Romany will be accompanied by other collaborators, in both distance and proximity. This research is moving (spilling) towards a group project with Germinal, in Bolivia in November, 2024 and a site-specific sharing in Spring, 2025.
