During this residency Lucy Ireland and Jim Manganello will take the next steps towards devising Ferguson and Barton, before performances at Manipulate Festival and Platform.

Here's what the show's about: A contemporary couple scrambles to re-enact Hitchcock’s 1958 masterpiece, Vertigo, live. The romance, the music, the impending sense of doom, the platinum blonde hair. The deeper they get, the more exhausting this strange ritual becomes. Gender roles, modern relationships and sexual obsession are all tossed up in 'Ferguson and Barton'. This new piece of dance-theatre is both homage to the master of suspense and wrecking ball to the Hollywood patriarchy. A dark fable for modern times.

Supported by Creative Scotland.

Lucy and Jim will hold a sharing of work in progress on Saturday 19 Jan at 3pm in The Work Room Studio, please RSVP to sara@theworkroom.org.uk if you wish to come along.
