Alena Ageeva In Residence: Alena Ageeva | Remote residency

Dance artist and performer Alena Ageeva is developing a dance walk in the city for this remote residency. 

"I would like to use the residency to create a dance walk in the city. Dance walk is an art form that has accumulated the main interests in my artistic practice: site-specific dance, inclusive/participatory practices and improvisation. It’s an ongoing research on how dance and space affect each other; how do we embody the stories that space keeps and constantly tells us; how does it all create a dance in a listening body here and now. This research will help me to create a choreography to invite the participants in. In my practice, I’m looking for an answer: how to create a situation where there is no « audience and performers » and a dance just reveals itself through all the people involved."
