Kirstin Halliday joins us for a two-week residency, developing their dance work Desert Grassland Whiptail Lizards, co-choreographed with Aniela Piasecka.
Desert Grassland Whiptail Lizards is a 3 part dance work that is currently in development. It explores the “lesbian lizard” species of the same name, examining the fetishization of lesbians in the process, and the potential for active reconfiguration of the cisheteronormative male gaze. Act 1 of the work has been presented in Glasgow, Arbroath, Belfast and London. In this residency period, Kirstin will be working with co-choreographer Aniela and a trio of performers, to devise Act 2 of the work.
