Bridie Gane joins us for a two-week residency.
Bridie Gane is developing a new dance theatre work drawing on the life and legacy of Bernat Klein over two weeks at The Work Room. The process of making tweed and the fabric it creates are rich in movement, tension, symmetry, repetition and connection.
Together with five dancers, Bridie will explore, through dance and movement, the parallels between weaving, identity and belonging. Layering elements of Klein’s personal story, and the history of tweed making across Scotland and internationally, through theatricality and Scottish and Balkan soundscapes.
