Aniela Marian Piasecka

02—07.03.20

During our residency, Paloma Proudfoot and I (Proudfoot & Piasecka) intend to research and develop a new collaborative performance under the working title of End Of The Party. Reimagining paintings of the romantic era, End Of The Party would seek to stage scenes contemplating the gradual spoiling of the natural landscape we are currently facing. Symbolic tableaux would elicit the anxiety of our contemporary climate and set human presences in diminished perspectives. By exploring sculpture and large scale visual backdrops for choreography, the atmospheric effects of romanticism would find a parallel in the emotive subjects of post-modern landscapes and bodies.
