Mark Bleakley A weave is in movement

Over the week I will be joined in and out of the studio with textiles researcher Jonathan Cleaver. My residency will be exploring the relationships between textiles, weaving and choreography. Over the past year or so I have been slowly exploring how I can bring ideas of weaving and my explorations of surface together. I am interested in ways both disciplines ideas of ‘treating’ space and surface overlap and possible useful connections through this.
