Beginning - again... Hand - Heart - Head
A creative workshop presented by Curious Seed & The Work Room
11 & 12 January 2022, @ The Work Room studio, Tramway
Begin the new year in the company of other dance artists who are keen to delve into their creative movement practice and develop new approaches in a playful and structured space. Over two days, Christine Devaney along with two of the company’s long-standing creative collaborators (musician and visual artist) will facilitate collaborative explorations and experiments to warm into the body and imagination again: preparing for the year ahead.
Curious Seed and The Work Room are collaborating on this workshop to create opportunities for dance artists in Scotland, to reconnect with their practice and the community after the impact of the pandemic. There are 8 spaces available and participants will receive a bursary of £150 to support participation in the workshop. We can also contribute to any additional access costs for participating including childcare or travel out with Glasgow. Participating dance artists will also have the costs a bodywork appointment of their choice covered (e.g. physio, massage, chiropractor etc)
We will operate with Covid safe working practices and expect all participating dancers to commit to working in this way.

If you are interested in participating, please send a short note of interest including:
· a short statement on why you want to participate in this workshop and what you hope to get from it;
· some information on how your experience as a dance artist has been impacted during the pandemic;
· confirmation that you can commit to both days of the workshop
Your note of interest can be submitted via email, as a written document, video or audio file. It should be no longer than 1 page fo A4 and video or audio should be approximately 2 - 3 minutes. Video or audio submissions should be pasted a link in the covering email along with any relevant passwords.
The Work Room is located inside Tramway, which is a level access building. In addition to the financial support offered above, please let us know if you require any access support to participate, have a preferred method of communication or any other information you would like us to be aware of.
