The Work Room’s RE-EMERGING project has brought together a peer-group of independent dance artists to consider approaches to creative practice alongside caring responsibilities & to explore strategies for working in dance while also improvising the everyday choreography of parenting.  The RE-EMERGING programme has been developed as part of Creative Scotland’s Radical Care action research project.

As choreographers who craft in time and space, we have reflected upon the dance of parenting….

     the rhythm of family life,

the dynamics of moving with our children,

and shaping the space and time we share.

The RE-EMERGING group members are:

Laura Bradshaw                           Oxana Banshikova

Jude Williams                               Rob Heaslip

Natalia Barua                               Robbie Synge

Nina Enemark                              Sara Gordon

Monday 5 June, 12.30 - 2.30pm @ Glasgow Women’s Library

The group are hosting an event to share some of this experience and for the launch of the choreography of parenting resource pack.  Developed during this process, this is a a resource for organisations and those who work with parent artists, and for other artists who are - or are becoming - parents
