Meeting Points Munich

By The Work Room on 02.03.20

Today Work Room members Rob Heaslip and Tamsyn Russell are travelling to Munich for the second encounter of our Meeting Points project in collaboration with Tanzbüro München.

Last year in October, Rob and Tamsyn welcomed Munich based choreographers – Ceren Oran and Sahra Huby – to Glasgow for a week-long research lab. The second encounter will see the four artists come back together for a week of sharing studio practice, exchanging experiences and seeing work together as part of Tanzplattform Deutschland. It is an opportunity for each of the artists to expand their networks and learn more about the dance scene in each country.

Our Director, Anita Clark, will be joining the artists later in the week as they share some of their experiences with the dance community in Munich.  Meeting Points has been supported by the British Council in Germany and Scotland along with Goethe Insitut Glasgow.

The Work Room and Tanzbüro München have embarked on this project with the aim of establishing long-tern exchange and creative collaborations between independent choreographers in Scotland and Germany.
