The Work Room and Tramway are collaborating for Dance International Glasgow (DiG) 2019 to support two choreographers to expand their practice through adapting work for public sites and outdoor contexts in Pollokshields during DiG.

Following at selection process the bursaries were awarded to The Work Room members Kate E Deeming & Katie Armstrong & through this two new works will be performed outside, in the local area of Pollokshields, for DIG 2019.

Four Corners is a dance event and art exhibition by Dance Activist Kate E. Deeming in partnership with children from four local primary schools. It will remind us that although we come from different geographic, political, social and cultural spaces we can still find ways to move together.

SKETCHES by Katie Armstrong are a series of three short dance duets set to and inspired by Bachs’ Violin Concerto in A Minor. Each ‘sketch’ follows one movement of the concerto and manifests itself as a chance encounter between two bodies.

Visit Tramway's website here later in the year for more information about where and when these interventions will take place.
