Skye Reynolds

I’m a Scottish-based movement artist, performance-maker, mother and educator (originally from Australia). My practice navigates the edges of dance, drawing upon somatics, comedy, language & the politics of real life. In 2022-23 I created 'into Flesh' with Khamlane Halsackda, an international co-production between Inkonst Sweden & Tramway Scotland. The work is a punk prayer exploring friendship, gender and the vulnerability of ageing bodies. Previous projects & collaborations include working with: Curious Seed, Janis Claxton Dance, Jo Fong, Ian Spink, Tess Letham, Susan Worsfold, pavleheidler, Wendy Houstoun, Derevo, Imaginate, National Theatre of Scotland, Fadj Festival (Iran), What Moves You? & Something Smashing. As an educator I facilitate creative experiences for people of all ages & abilities, working in diverse contexts eg: schools, parks, a recycling depot, refugee camps, post-war zones (War Child) and Paris Summer Academy (Orian Theatre). I’m an Associate Artist with Starcachers (Scotland's Arts and Early Years Organisation) and was an early years specialist with Little Big Dance UK. I graduated as a Feldenkrais practitioner.
