Paula Ellen Davidson
I have spent the last 25 years working mainly in dance education. Choreographing and devising dance and movement mainly with a performance element, for and with people, from the cradle to the grave. Initially working in the community sector with children and young people whilst still in full time education i.e. school and university. In 2003 I began working freelance full-time with special thanks to Scottish Ballet's Education Department. I begun teaching Dance in schools often linked to Company Rep and at other times developing my own workshop ideas with specific learning outcomes attached. I loved being part of such an all encompassing team of outstanding international excellence. During this time I also enjoyed working for Indepen dance as well as for various local authorities and community groups. Similarly, I loved participating in regular CPD with the cream of the crop. Relocating to the Scottish Islands in 2007. Reconnecting with nature, history and roots. Raising a young family. Providing access to contemporary dance education for very traditional cut off and remote island communities. Working with people across the lifecycle developing creativity through movement. Dovetailing with formal education and the Curriculum for Excellence. I have now returned to Glasgow and to reconnecting with our wider contemporary world whilst once again spreading wings and expanding routes.
