My practice is shaped by ever-evolving ideas about connection through embodiment. It is driven by questions about how to facilitate shared experiences that bring us home to ourselves, connect us as human beings, and integrate us into our environments. In my work I strive to continuously mine movement, touch, imagery, breath and voice as tools that highlight being present and alive to inner and outer sensations, rhythms and connections. These tools are derived from contemporary dance, improvisation techniques in dance and physical theatre, somatic practices and academic research (in a previous life) into the relationship between ritual and the arts.
