Nicole Meehan

Originally from Canada, Nicole completed an undergraduate degree in Disability Studies, focusing on exploring the Aesthetics of Madness through dance and moved to Glasgow to develop her practice as a performance artist in 2017. She has since graduated with a masters in Theatre and Performance Practice in 2018 where her research focus was on exploring the relationship with the post traumatic body through movement. Nicole has worked with Tangled Art + Disability in partnership with the Toronto 2015 ParaPan Am Games Arts and Cultural Festival in the production of PUSH! She has also performed internationally throughout Canada and the United States as well as in the Edinburgh Tattoo.

Currently based in Glasgow, Nicole uses burlesque, contemporary, and aerial dance in her practice.
