Molly Scott Danter

Curious and passionate about bodily expression, my practice inherently begins (t)here, with the body. How we can shape-shift, shift perspective with our entire body and tell stories with the most delicate nuance, the most absurd contortions, the most grounded precision and, always, everything in between. I strive to honour the essence of enquiry, whether in connecting with another’s ideas or working alone, I want the enquiry to become shared in practice and performance, and to feel a deep response-ability to the work, as in dance and life.

I’m interested in creating environments through performance and research lab/ workshops where our awareness is directed towards our-selves and Other, moving through and past binaries and opening new somatic pathways to engage with the world. Improvisation is a strong element in my practice, both in personal exploration, performance, and contact.
