As an independent Dance Artist my practice tends to manifest itself in number of ways; primarily my movement practice seeks to push boundaries and understanding of how a 21st century body can move, focusing on perceptual and physical expansion. My current projects have also lead me to revisit ideas of spectatorship as a choreographed or performative event. I am continuing to question and research how public and professional bodies engage with choreographic ideas. After relocating to Scotland in the last 6 months after years of traveling I feel very strongly that community is essential to the development and progress of any art form. The Work room appears to provide opportunities and a platform for artistic and professional development and most importantly exchange. I’m interested in cultivating working models that encourage artistic resilience and sustainability.Having been making work live 2003 I am also interested in how I can support other artists in their making journeys.
