Lottie Barker

I am a community artist based in Dumbarton. I make work collaboratively, with people at the heart. As a facilitator I encourage participants to feel part of a process of creation and that we all have equal decision-making weight. I am passionate about ensuring artistic expression is accessible to all and enjoy learning from people about how they could best access the arts.

I currently work with a company of 9 community dancers (disabled and non-disabled) aged 3-60s creating work for screen & stage. I encourage individuality as well as team work in our creation process adapting to accessibility needs whilst challenging what people think are their limits for themselves in a safe, supportive, environment.

I am interested in exploring creating work for younger audiences especially early year settings and for disabled young people.
