Kirsty Alexander

I am a freelance dancer, teacher, and mentor. All aspects of my work are deeply influenced by Skinner Releasing Technique (SRT) and I have been a certified teacher of SRT for over 25 years. The imagery and conceptual clarity of Rosemary Butcher's work (my very first dancing job was for Rosemary) also continues to resonate for me. As an educator I was Head of Undergraduate Studies at Trinity Laban (2000 -2005) and Assistant Director of London Contemporary Dance School (2005-2010) and as a curator I co directed Independent Dance (2015-2018). I like dancing for other people and amongst those I have particularly enjoyed dancing with are: Gaby Agis, Kate Brown, Rosemary Butcher, Gill Clarke, Michael Clark, Marina Collard, Kate Johnson, Michel Laub, Carolyn Roy, Gary Stevens and Station House Opera.
