Kally Lloyd-Jones, an award winning director and choreographer, and is Company Chordelia’s founder/Artistic Director. She was awarded a Herald Angel for directing The Seven Deadly Sins, a co-production with Scottish Opera. Her latest works for the company include Dance Derby, Nijinsky's Last Jump and Lady Macbeth: unsex me here, which have received national critical acclaim and won Best Live Performance at the SHCA.
Born and raised in Scotland, she trained as a dancer & has an MA in English literature & Film Studies from Glasgow University.
She has worked extensively as a director, choreographer, dancer, movement director and teacher all over the UK as well as Sweden, Denmark, South Africa and Canada.
Kally directed The Opera Project for RCS, Hansel & Gretel for the St Magnus International Festival / RCS, La bohéme and L'elisir d'amore for Edinburgh Grand Opera, Katya Kabanova for Scottish Opera & The Rape of Lucretia for St Andrews Opera, Eugene Onegin for Bloomsbury Opera/St Andrews Opera, Thrashing The Sea God for Joby Burgess & Tête a Tête Opera Festival, MacPherson’s Rant for The Byre, Opera Scenes for the RCS, was Associate Director on Orlando & Ariodante and revival director of Macbeth for Scottish Opera.  
Recent work includes The Citizens Theatre, Danish National Opera, Royal Swedish Opera & Glyndebourne Opera.  
Kally is a member of Equity, One Dance UK, The Federation of Scottish Theatre and The Work Room and is proud to be Chair of The Work
