Jade Adamson

Jade is dance practitioner whose practice expands across performing, teaching, choreographing and producing. She is currently developing her career to include movement direction. She is passionate about the arts as a catalyst towards a more inclusive and sustainable future and this is her motivation.

Jade is a founding member of Glasgow based contemporary dance company Barrowland Ballet, which has enabled her to devise and perform worldwide, most recently in Playful Tiger. She has also performed with with Caroline Bowditch Company, Wee Stories, Stillmotion, David Hughes Dance, Freshmess, and Alan Greig Dance Theatre.  As a dance artist she has also worked with Raw Material, Akram Khan Company,  Edinburgh International Festival, Scottish Ballet, National Theatre of Scotland, Michael Clark Company, Scottish Dance Theatre, Vox Motus Theatre Company, East London Dance and Y-Dance. ​

In 2013 Jade received a career development mentorship through One Dance UK and the following year initiated and organised a Scottish tour and engagement programme for Epic Encounters (Cambodia). She then worked as assistant producer on Indepen-dance's Festival of Inclusive Dance, Gathered Together in 2016. 

In 2017 Jade undertook a Federation of Scottish Theatre producer placement with Tramway and The Work Room as assistant producer on Dance International Glasgow.
