Jade is a dance practitioner whose practice expands across performing, teaching, choreographing and producing. She is a founding member of Glasgow based contemporary dance company Barrowland Ballet which has enabled her to perform and travel worldwide. In 2017 she undertook a Federation of Scottish Theatre supported producer placement with Tramway and The Work Room, working on Dance International Glasgow and led on the festival’s engagement and artist development programme.
As a dance artist Jade has also worked with Edinburgh International Festival, Scottish Ballet, National Theatre of Scotland, Michael Clark Company, Scottish Dance Theatre, Vox Motus Theatre Company, East London Dance and Y-Dance. As a performer she has worked with with Caroline Bowditch Company, David Hughes Dance, Wee Stories, Stillmotion, Freshmess Dance Company and Alan Greig Dance Theatre.
In 2013 Jade received a career development mentorship through Dance UK (now One Dance UK) which inspired her career development into management and producing. The following year she initiated and organised a small Scottish tour and engagement programme for Epic Encounters Dance Company (Cambodia). Jade then worked as assistant producer on Indepen-dance's International Festival of Inclusive Dance, Gathered Together, in 2016.
Jade trained at Edinburgh's Telford College from 2002-2005, where she gained a BA (hons) in Dance and a HND in Professional Stage Dance.
