Gail Sneddon is an award winning Glasgow-based artist who makes performance work that brings an immersive and sensorial experience to the audience through the orchestration and design of different strands of artistic practice including dance, video, sound and space. Gail graduated from Trinity Laban Conservatoire for Movement and Dance in 1997 and has performed for companies such as Nigel Charnock, Athina Vahla and Ersatz. In 2002 she completed an MA in Scenography at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. This enabled her to develop a methodology that merges all elements of performance; choreography, body, space, time and environment. Gail took this way of working into the commercial music scene, creating large-scale promenade installations and live events for the music industry and movement direction for various dance and theatre companies. Her body of work also includes the film The Fall of Adam, which was distributed internationally.

In 2012 Gail worked with Claire Cunningham as mentor on ‘12’ for Candoco Dance Company and as co-choreographer and video artist for ‘Ménage a Trois’. These were Unlimited Commissions for the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad and have also toured internationally. Gail received a CATS award (Critics Award in Scotland) in recognition of her visual concept and video work for Ménage a Trois alongside the creative team.
