My motivation as an artist is to contribute to the wellbeing of those with dementia or compromised health due to age-ing through creative interventions in movement and film. I have training in both film making and movement practice and have worked creatively in a community context for 25yrs. I have recently completed Yr 1 MSc in Dementia Studies through Stirling University.

In 2018 I set up the business 'Spin Turn Creative Movement' which purely focuses on my creative work with older people and people with dementia. 'Spin Turn' provides movement workshops at Carehomes and in community settings and has worked alongside organisations such as Artlink Central, Alzheimer Scotland, Vibrant Communities and Luminate Scotland. In tandem to these workshops I am building a body of short film work that explores relationships, age-ing and dance.
