Corin Sworn

I come from a film and visual arts background and I would very much like to open some of my current research to others and explore movement in relation to framing strategies specific to cameras. Of late have been exploring movement and self surveillance in relation to labour flexibility and over work. I have been working with dancers exploring coping strategies that emerge to negotiate the over laboured body, the ambivalent promise of wellness and self care as well as strategies of motion capture and assessment as presently being played out through visual surveillance. I have had exhibitions at Tate Britain, The Whitchaple Gallery, The National Gallery of Canada, Witte de With Rotterdam and represented Scotland at the Venice Bienial. I teach at the Ruskin School of Art, Oxford
