Callum McGregor

I’m a Glasgow-born dance artist, teacher and choreographer with over six years of professional performance experience. I started dancing at the age of seven at the Valda Hunter School of Dance before training at the Dance School of Scotland. I later graduated with a First Class BA (Hons) in Professional Dance and Performance from Central School of Ballet in London.

After graduating, I moved to Toronto to join Ballet Jörgen, where I spent six seasons performing and touring extensively across Canada. Alongside performing, I developed my practice through teaching, choreography and community engagement, working with dancers of different ages, abilities and backgrounds in both studio and outreach settings.

As a teacher, I aim to create supportive, welcoming spaces where dancers can build confidence alongside strong technical foundations. My choreographic work is rooted in my classical ballet training while drawing on contemporary movement, musicality and storytelling. I’m interested in creating work that feels both engaging and accessible, and in finding new ways to connect ballet with wider audiences.

Having recently returned to Glasgow, I’m excited to reconnect with Scotland’s dance community and continue developing my work as a performer, teacher and choreographer. I’m always interested in collaborating with artists and organisations across performance, education and community projects, and I value working with people who are curious, collaborative and open to new ideas.
