Workshop with Cathy Waller
Queens Park Govanhill Parish Church
Workshop with Cathy Waller
On Thursday 28th August, The Work Room is excited to host choreographer Cathy Waller, to lead a practice based workshop around dance, rhythm, and music.
ABOUT
This upbeat workshop explores how a variety of music can challenge, inspire, and energise the way we move. At its heart, this workshop is about reconnecting with rhythm and rediscovering the joy of moving to a beat.
The workshop will follow a class-based format, gradually building towards a collaborative closing section where we’ll create a short choreographic phrase together, drawing from what we’ve learnt and how we enjoy moving as individuals.
Inclusivity sits at the core of this workshop. All dancers are warmly encouraged to adapt, interpret, and move in ways that feel right for them.
