What Next?: a space for blethering & collective imagining

02.07—16.09.21
Various online and in person

During June, July and August, we are holding a series of small group conversations hosted by Work Room members, as spaces for reflection, exchanging experiences and exploring together ideas for the future. The pandemic has brought into sharp focus The Work Room's mission to support a sustainable environment for independent dance artists working in Scotland. As we begin to emerge from the crisis, we want to pause and ask some questions about our practice and acknowledge when we contribute to instability, unhealthy and unsustainable working environments.

Through these conversations, we want to imagine The Work Room’s programme moving forward and the shifts we need to make. This is an invitation to all our members to feedback on our work, gather ideas and collectively determine future plans for what we do and how we do it. We want to create the space for all our members - whether they have joined recently or been involved for many years - to be involved in shaping future plans.  The hosts will be facilitating the conversations and collating responses as a record on the session.

Over the coming months, the series will include conversations taking place out of doors and online, at different times. There are details below of the first few of these that are now open for bookings and with more being added in coming weeks.

We are offering all freelancer TWR members £40 towards their time for participating in a session.
