Touching Landscapes: techniques for partnering

14:00–17:00 on 08.09.24
The Work Room

Member Led Event with Amy Dakin Harris

Sunday 8 September | 2pm to 5pm

Join Amy as she shares some of her research around contact improvisation, with a strong focus on self-contact, authentic movement, and partnering with the more-than-human. Following on from her movement research on the farm and other outdoor landscapes, this workshop brings those practices into the studio for further exploration. Drawing on themes of reciprocity, partnerwork and consent, we will use touch as a tool for attuning to presence, for listening and conversing with the landscape of our own bodies, as well as other beings’ bodies (human/more-than-human/elemental). There will be invitations to move, witness, and give/receive light touch. All bodies and experiences are welcome.
