About Tanzmesse 2024 with Dan Daw

Join The Work Room, FABRIC and National Dance Company Wales in conversation with Dan Daw ahead of Tanzmesse 2024.

International tanzmesse nrw takes place every two years at the end of August, in Düsseldorf, Germany. Organised by nrw landesbureo tanz, it is a forum for exchange and networking and  an important meeting place for the international dance community. Tanzmesse is the largest professional gathering for contemporary dance with up to 2,000 international exhibitors and visitors come together in Düsseldorf to present a broad spectrum of aesthetic expression and artistic practices. The next edition will be held 28 -31 August 2024.

They are now accepting proposal for the Performance Programme with a closing date of 15 September. TWR, FABRIC and NDCW will be supporting artists to submit proposal through each organisations exhibition area at the 2024 event.

Tanzmesse are looking for full-length performances on stage, in public spaces and digitally that will be presented to international visitors and a public audience. This includes works aimed at intergenerational or young audiences. They also welcome proposals for Open Studios, where artists present their artistic productions through a short physical presentation and a Q&A, as well as Insights, where professionals give a media-based presentation to share production methods, project ideas, networks, collaborations, and other endeavours in the field of dance. Dan Daw is the Artistic Director/CEO of Dan Daw Creative Projects. Dan Daw Creative Projects is a disabled-led company that works collaboratively with a growing network of companies and artists to develop and tour new performance work that blurs the divide between theatre and dance.
