Surf The Wave Sharing & Networking Event: Scotland
In February 2020 Pavilion Dance South West is working with Dundee Rep Theatre to host a Surf The Wave Sharing and Networking event. This event is for programmers and artists to continue collaborative conversations and network with colleagues. It will also be an opportunity to hear from some of the artists and programmers who have been delivering Surf The Wave supported projects. They will share the learning they have gained through testing new ways of working together.
This full-day event will include:
Provocations and calls to action
Lunch will be provided.
Should you wish to join us, the premiere of Antigone, Interrupted by Scottish Dance Theatre will be held at Perth Theatre at 6pm, followed by a post-show discussion with Joan Clevillé. Tickets can be purchased here and there is limited availability.
WHO IS THIS EVENT FOR?
Programmers who work in any context including small and mid-scale venues, rural-touring, museums, galleries, festivals and outdoors, whether new to dance programming or very experienced.
Dance artists and companies who have professionally toured at least twice
In response to feedback given at the Phase 1 Intensive events, we are suggesting that artists and programmers attend events in the area they are primarily based in order to make more local connections.
Please note, this event has limited capacity and places will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, therefore, we may only be able to offer a place to one representative per company/artist/organisation.
There are a number of bursaries/travel expenses which will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and are limited to one representative per company/artist/organisation.
Support is available for 10 programmers to cover expenses up to £75 (inclusive of VAT).
There are also 10 bursaries of £100 (inclusive of VAT) available for artists/companies to support attendance.
Please email Lia at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to request this support.
