Residency Sharing with Jonah Russell: Choreography, Theatrical Acrobatics & an XXXL Jumper
Wednesday 1 July
4:30 - 5:30 pm, The Work Room studio, Tramway
FREE -Book via Outsavvy
You are invited to join us for a sharing of work in progress, by current residency artist Jonah Russell. Jonah & H will share some exerpts of work they have been developing over the week, with time for feedback, conversation and reflections afterwards.
The sharing will last approximately 1 hour, including feedback.
Jonah Russell and H Barton are a hand-to-hand duo who are spending their week in residence, exploring how their acrobatic bodies fit inside a single XXXXL hoodie.
The development time will focus on discovering the theatrical possibilities of working with the jumper, choreographic moments that sit between dance and more acrobatic techniques, and blurring the distinction between the two.
Jonah & H will be opening up their process with a work-in-progress sharing on Wednesday 1 July at 4:30 pm.
