Residency Sharing: Penny Chivas 'Where We Choose to Stand'
The Work Room studio, Tramway
Residency Sharing: Penny Chivas will present 'Where We Choose To Stand'
Fri 30 May | 3 pm | The Work Room studio
ABOUT
Penny Chivas and her collaborators are developing a new project titled 'Where We Choose to Stand' through a residency at the Work Room in May. The project began with the question of what makes people engage with activism, and how it feels to be engaged with actions on the streets of the UK, which are also performative in themselves.
Over the week, they will engage with activists from Govanhill Baths/GAS through movement and conversation workshops, feeding into the development of the performance work, which is also informed by interviews with climate activists.
Penny Chivas, Nicolette Macleod and Emma Jayne Park warmly invite you to join them in the studio on Friday 30 May for a work-in-progress sharing of 'Where We Choose to Stand'.
Supported by the National Lottery through Creative Scotland
