The Work Room studio, Tramway
Join us for a public sharing event of with current studio resident Andrea Torres Viedma, and her project parar.
The event will be approximately 45minutes, with time for discussion.
About Parar
Parar "explores the notion of time through the Chilean word, parar, which means "both 'to stop' and 'to stand up/build up.'" The project "investigates the potential of parar as a gesture that disrupts neoliberal-colonial time while opening alternative temporalities, approached from a de(s)colonial South American perspective. It reflects on the dual need to stop and to build alternatives—taking time, and making time."
