Movement Research Workshop with Solène Weinachter

11:00–17:30 on 08.02.25
The Work Room

Saturday 8 February 11am - 5.30pm | The Work Room

Solène invites you in a movement workshop where she will share some of the physical content that is leading her current research. Although Solène's work is known for storytelling and voice, this workshop will focus on set material, musicality and spacial patterns, exploring both taught and self-generated material.

Solène is currently researching a new idea that is informed by stories of systemic abuse and oppression towards women. The research is currently focusing on the repetitive pattern underlying those stories, and how this pattern can be reflected in choreography.

Open to TWR members and non-members, professional dancers & movers, dance students. Participants will be required to memorise choreography on counts.

Please email hello@theworkroom.org.uk to book your free place or with any questions.

Due to the nature of the research participants will be required to attend for the full workshop.
