Movement Class for Primary Carers of Children

Class: 10am - 10.50am
Social: 11am - 12 Noon
Breathe, move and relax in this guided movement class from Vicki Manderson. The hour will be a combination of gentle movements, stretches and time to connect to your body. This class is for primary carers to children, it is a chance for you to spend time concentrating on your body and allowing the pressures of caring for young people fall away for an hour. The only requirement for this class is the desire to move, no formal dance training is needed.
After the class there will be time to have a cup of tea and a chat with the others you have moved with. Vicki’s working title for her residency is ‘The Mother turned inside out’ and so she is keen to gain an insight in to others experiences of parenting and would love the chance to gently open the conversation up after class.
Booking
This is a FREE class and your place can be booked by emailing hello@theworkroom.org.uk. While this class is aimed at adults, babies and children of all ages are welcome in the studio. Please note that there will be no creche facilities and children will need to be supervised at all times. We have a seperate lounge space, toys and colouring activities that can be utilised during the event.

The Work Room studio is on the first floor of Tramway, 25 Albert Drive, Glasgow G41 2PE, and can be accessed by lift or stairs. There is level access to the studio from the street.
The Work Room has two gender-neutral wheelchair-accessible toilets, a kitchen with tea and coffee making facilities and a range of seating options (including chairs with and without arms, a comfy sofa, beanbags and ergonomic height-adjustable desk chairs).
There are baby changing facilities on available on Tramways ground floor - accessible via a lift.
