Motion Qualia is a movement method created by Satoshi Kudo. It activates the reflex accurately by provoking own amygdala. Eventually the body produces more necessity movements. By constant working with gravity, the sensations of non gravity are created.

While Satoshi is in Scotland, teaching at Scottish Dance Theatre, he is coming to Glasgow to share Motion Qualia for dancers. In the workshop, you learn basic floor-work technique combined with the method and discover new ways of dancing.

(*If you have a pair of Kneepads, bring them! )

Satoshi Kudo is a choreographer and dancer based in Sweden. His works are spread out world wide such as performances, workshops and researching projects. The work searches of connections between emotion, gravity and physics, which always exist in different order to find inevitable expression. This is based on his original movement method “Motion Qualia”.

Kudo has worked for choreographers as Ohad Naharin, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui/Eastman and Kungliga Baletten; including the work of Mats Ek, Johan Inger, Alexander Ekman, Sharon Eyal and more.
